The Most Crowded Place on Earth

Sorry for the lack of posting the last week or so.  We've been visiting family and I feel totally lost without my card reader and CS3!!!!  :)

On the 4th we headed to Disneyland to see the fireworks. It was CRAZY!!!!  Seriously I have never in my LIFE seen that many people in one place at one time.  It was INSANE!!!  Fortunately since we have passes we don't really care if we go on any rides a lot of the time, we just like to have a fun place to go walk around and spend some time as a family, so that worked out well this time!! ;)  Here are a few pictures from our night out...

we've finally hit the age with ash that she is just totally into princesses.  she LOVES them!!  typically we avoid the parade at the park because we'd rather go on the more crowded rides while people are watching the parade.  This time we arrived during the parade though so we couldn't miss it  I think we'll be watching it a lot more often from now on.  Ash couldn't get enough of the princesses and the floats!! :)

everytime we go to disneyland ash goes crazy for the "sucker-pops" and displays like this certainly don't help!! :)

 

And finally it was time for the fireworks.  We waited and waited in a sea of people only to have the show cancelled 10 minutes in due to high winds in the upper atmosphere.  HA!!!  That will teach us to ever go there again on the 4th of July!! :)

Lemonade 2.00

This week the kids had a blast having a lemonade stand.  I got some poster board for them to make a sign and asked them how much they would like to sell it for.  I had to laugh when the responded 2.00.  We settled on 25cents.  ;) 

One of the fond memories I have as a kid is sitting on my driveway at my little blue and red table selling cups of ice cold lemonade.  Now keep in mind that I lived on a VERY quiet street with NO traffic...and my driveway was a little bit of a hill and I would sit at the top.  Too funny.  I had to smile to myself as I went out several times to purchase a total of eight cups of lemonade.  I remember my mom doing the same...coming outside every few minutes telling me how thirsty she was and that she just needed another glass of my delicious lemonade.  Too funny.  It is FUN to get to do those same things for your own kids. They feel so special and excited to pour you a glass...and another for themselves while they're at it! ;)

Happy 4th of July!!!!

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.  You're probably not reading this today since I'm sure you're all out enjoying the beautiful summer weather and festivities, but I had a few minutes while the kids are resting up for tonight's fun, so I thought I'd share a few shots of the day and some yummy traditions we'll be enjoying later. :)

Hello Cutie...I mean, Kitty.

Ash is IN LOVE with this shirt!!  She has had a thing for Hello Kitty ever since we bought her a Hello Kitty toothbrush.  She asks to brush her teeth like 15 times a day just so she can see her toothbrush.  I knew wheh I saw this at H&M that it was a must have.  She asks to wear it practically everyday.

Lazy Days of Summer

These days are the best!!!  No schedule...(which I'm sure in about another week will be driving me NUTS!!!) lol!!  No waking up for school and trying to rush out the door, no homework.  Ah!!  laziness -- you gotta love it!!  It has been SUPER hot here over the last week.  Record breaking temps.  So we've all been trying to keep cool hanging out in the front yard in the afternoon once it's shady.  I caught a couple of cute moments the other afternoon with these two cute brothers.  They just make me laugh.  Especially the picture of the two of them together.  How can you NOT laugh when you see that sweet little guy making that face??!!!  He is SUCH a ham!!

Seriously....pure comedy!! :)

Daredevils and Textures

These two make me laugh.  Andy's best little friend down the street is SERIOUSLY going to have his name in lights one of these days.  I totally see him at the x-games in 2018 for sure!!!  Andy is trying SO hard to keep up but his mom isn't so keen on that idea. ;)  (although I have been pretty good and let him get a little crazier than I ever thought I would...and surprisingly he's pretty good on his bike and scooter...) trips to the ER and stitches aren't high on my list of favorite things to do. :)  Needless to say when they break out the ramp I get more than a little nervous!!  :)

 

Question for you all...what do you think of the textures.  I don't know that they are my FAVORITE of all time but I think they are pretty cool.  I thought these pictures would look good a little "grungier."  This is my first time ever playing with them and I see many late nights in my future having some fun!! :)  They are SO cool!!  Here are the same pictures in color with the texture...I might have laid them on a little thick...but I'm a newbie!! :0

Anyways...back to the boys...they are too fun and cute and it sure is nice to have your best friend next door!!! :)

Can You Say Cutie Pie??

I absolutely love shooting families.  It is so fun to see the dynamic between everyone and how much they love each other.  This cute family was certainly no exception.  That baby definitely gets his fair share of the love.  Big sister and brother can't get enough of him and his snuggles.  All these little blondies were just too cute!

When I take the kids for individual shots I usually try and get them to relax and have some fun.  Usually we've already done the "serious" family shots so they are pretty tired of getting their picture taken already and ready to ham it up for the camera.  I end up getting some great smiling shots, and also some fun personality shots. :) Those usually end up being MY favorites. :)  I can't decide which one of these is my favorite. :)

Happiness

that's the word that comes to mind when I think of this family.  We had SO much fun today!!!  These guys were a blast.  Not afraid to let loose and have some fun in front of the camera.  I really try to get everyone to relax and pretend I'm not there during sessions, but let's face it...it's hard to do when you have someone constantly in your face clicking away.  :)  These guys were just a blast.  You can tell that they just love their mom to pieces and aren't afraid to show it.  And mom....well she just glows when surrounded by her brood. :)  Thanks for letting me share the afternoon with you guys and capture this moment in your lives on film!! :)

Frankenstein

Have you ever seen the movie "Big Daddy" with Adam Sandler?   He has a 6 year old son that loves to dress himself.  He's seen throughout the movie wearing swim fins, scuba gear, and all sorts of funny stuff along with his regular clothes.   Nothing ever matches and he just always looks silly and asks for people to call him frakenstein.  Well, that is pretty much the story of my life right now.  :)  My sweet little princess has really taken to dressing herself.  ;)   I'm trying to relax and tell myself that I'm ok with it...and I totally am...as long as we don't leave the house. ;)  She comes up with all sorts of interesting combinations and is quite the style maven. :)  We don't really run into to many problems until I tell her it's time to change so we can go somewhere and she insists that she is "ready for day"  here's a look at her the other day before we left for church.  She was only supposed to be wearing the dress. Notice that even though all the items are rather random, she does like to stick to a particular theme: PINK.  lol!
