I am a children's photographer. I love kids and the natural expressions and curiosities they have. I love to shoot natural, not particularly posed shots.
When it comes to your shoot think location, location, location! My favorite places to shoot are places where kids are going to have fun and maybe even get a little messy! ;) The background makes SUCH an impact on the way the pictures turn out. I am a big fan of COLOR and FUN!! Think fun and out of the box. Here are a few of my favorites:

Here are a few more details about our shoots...
Your Session
Sessions are very relaxed and will usually last between one and two hours. . Your session will never be rushed and your child will never be pushed to pose or do something they don’t want to do. I prefer for them to just be themselves. Please feel free to bring any snacks that your child may need, as you may take breaks as needed to allow for bathroom breaks, feedings, and play.
Location
The session will take place at a location near my home. I love parks, and fun places where kids are most comfortable. I have some favorites spots so we'll chat when you book your session! Outdoor sessions are best scheduled in the late afternoon. If you wish to ravel to a further desintation for our shoot, there will be a travel fee of $50 included in the session fee.
What to Wear
I love color and the use of texture (knit sweaters, linen dresses, corduroy, scarves, hats, tutus, pettiskirts etc). Jeans or khakis are always a good choice for boys and simple sundresses are perfect for little girls. When photographing more than one person, keeping the clothing similar in color, tone and style is best. If there is a special outfit you would like to bring along please do. I recommend that you bring several outfits with you and we can change things up a bit for different pictures. Clean and simple is nice for a few and fun and funky is great too!
After the Session
Approximately two to three weeks after your session your proofs will be available for viewing in an online gallery. When your gallery becomes available I will email you. There will be approximately 20-30 images to choose from. Your online gallery will remain active for ten days. Please be prepared to place your order within that time. The online gallery is a great way to share your portraits with far away friends and family.
Full payment is due at the time of your order. Please make checks payable to "Tammy Mitchell." Your prints/CD will be ready two to three weeks after payment has been received.
Rates
Standard Session Fee- $150 (for one child. $25 for each additional child)
Session fees include:
- 60-90 minutes of coverage on your session date;
- post-session image preparation;
- ordering consultation or recommendations (when needed);
- online gallery of your proofs
At this time I am offering prints and/or your images on CD. Image files come with full rights to print them wherever you would like, in whichever sizes and quantities you would like.

Package of 50 - 4x6 prints $100
1-4 favorite images on CD $50 each
5 of your favorite images on CD $150

Individual digital files can be added to the purchase of any package for a reduced cost of $25 each.
I'm in the business of making memories...both with your family and mine...I limit the number of shoots I do each month and I am usually booked a few months in advance.
