I can't believe it.  This weekend the 25,000th visitor will visit this blog!!  That is CRAZY to me.  And exciting.  It makes me so happy to think that other people are enjoying my silly ramblings and ideas and hopefully I have been able to bring a smile to your face or inspire you to try something new at some point along the way! ;)   I really enjoy blogging and it makes me feel good to know that other people are enjoying it too! :) 

I figure since this is the week of good luck with St. Patty's day and we're having a big day here at Life In Pictures, we should celebrate!  How about a giveaway of one of my newest creations??? 

I JUST introduced these on ETSY 2 days ago and I am SUPER excited about them.  I think for once, one of my hair-brained ideas might actually have something to it!! :)  I haven't ever seen anything like it so I'm hoping I can call it "the original." ;) 

The photographer and scrapbooker and relatively new sewer (is that a word??) in me decided that these might be pretty cute... do you want to win one???

 

 

I LOVE silhouettes and I've never seen them on tshirts before.  I've been wearing them around for the last week or so (I know all of my friends think I don't own any other clothes!! ;)) that's the best advertising, right???  I kid you not...everywhere I've gone someone has asked me where they can get one...I even had a store owner ask me if I wanted to set up shop at his place and sell them!  AWESOME!!!  I figure that's a good thing, right??? 

I'm selling the boy and girl ones pictured for $42.50 in my etsy store, but here's the even cooler part that I LOVE about these.  If you want a TRULY custom shirt as in YOUR OWN KID on the front I can do it for you!!  You email me a picture of your child...side view from about 4 feet away and I can create one for you for $68.50.  Pretty cool, huh??  Case in point...recognize these guys???

Premade

Before I owned a scrapbook kit club I used to "scrap for others" which basically means people would give me their pictures and I would create a custom album for them.  It was a LOT of work.  But fun too.  When I sold my interest in the kit club two years ago I basically stopped scrapping as well.  Ashley was just teeny and I was feeling WAY too overwhelmed to do much of anything with TWO little ones running around. Now that she's older...I can't believe how big she's gotten so fast!!...I'm feeling the urge to scrap again...like ALL the time! lol!! :) 

I thought I'd try scrapping for others again, this time through etsy.  I'm going to make pre-made pages and then you give it your own personal touch with your photos and journaling.  That way you can have your own handmade scrapbook without all the work! :)  I figured I'll post some of them here and if you're a scrapper you can use this as an idea book and create your own using mine as templates...and if you're not and want to purchase them instead you can find them in my shop Pink Peppermint Design Here are a few pages I've done this weekend...

I just got a fun little notice that I was featured on Found Handmade's Blog this last week.  Too fun!  They were featuring handmade St. Patty's Day stuff and shared my shirt along with a few other fun items from Etsy...that's me on the top in the middle...

 

and look at those shoes on the bottom....SO cute!!  I wish they had them in my size!

New Albums

I've added a few new albums to Pink Peppermint.  I've been having a ton of fun creating some more unique, custom things.  Thought I'd share a few more pictures here if you want to see if you can create your own! :)  Each one truly is one of a kind since I'm mixing all different types of mediums and products to create the album.  So this will probably have to be more of a jumping off point and idea generator for you to see what you can create with what you've got lying aound the house, rather than being able to copy exactly what I've got here!! :)

     

  

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

See...you can make an album up out of anything!! :)  punch some holes and put some rings through it and ta-da!!  I am LOVING making these.  You should try one for yourself!!

i {heart} fabric

you all know that i love paper...well i've found a new love.  FABRIC!!  Oh!  The colors are enough to send me over the edge!  i took a trip to joanns the other night and i spent 2 hours browsing through bolts and bolts of fabric.  yum!  you know a little had to follow me home. ;)

 

so..here's what i wanted to try....my hand at making custom appliqued tshirts.  i see them all the time in fancy boutiques for a small fortune...AND i can never find the exact thing i'm looking for.  so, i thought i'd give it a whirl. :)  i started with a more basic shape to get the hang of it and i LOVE the way it tuned out.  i have big plans for this new little hobby of mine.  here's how my guinea pig of a t turned out....

 

i made 5 shirts today because i was so excited.  i know...i'm crazy!!!  needess to say we had pancakes for dinner! lol!!  i'm sure i'll slow down soon, i just have so many ideas in my head i need to get them all out before i explode!! lol!!  i'm laughing at myself reading this....you all must think i have a screw loose! :)  if you have something custom you'd like email me and let's see if we can create it for you.  i can so any size, any color, and hopefully any shape before too long! :)

Pink Peppermint Design

I took the plunge!!  I finally got around to setting up my etsy shop this weekend. Seriously...i LOVE 3 day weekends.  It's amazing how much more I can get accomplished when John is home for an extra day! 

So, PINK PEPPERMINT DESIGN is online!!  WooHoo!!  I seriously think it was taking me so long because I wanted to think of a cute name for it and it seemed like everything I came up with was already taken! :)  Finally I came up with pink peppermint.  I like the sound of it and it HAD to have pink in the name.  Plus...I love all things peppermint, so, PERFECT!! :) 

I am SUPER excited and I've got some fun things in store!!

For Sale...

I've been thinking about this for a while now.  You probably all know by now that I LOVE etsy.   I LOVE just about anything creative or crafty.  I LOVE to make stuff and play around with all different types of mediums.  The problem is I usally make more than I can use just because it's so much fun for me! :)  So, I thought I'd give selling some of my craftiness online a try. :)  Every now and then when I make something new I'll post it here and let you all know about it...then I'll stick it in my etsy store.  I haven't named it yet...I can't decide on which name I like best...the pressure!! :)  So for now, I'll just list these here and once I name my store...I'll post em there.  :) 

Most items will be one of a kind--meaning once they're gone I won't be making them again unless there is a special request.  :)

If you're having a baby girl any time soon here's an announcement option for you...

 

These are mini file folders that measure 4x5.5  They are baby pink and hand-stamped with a rosy pink "baby".  They are embellished with rhinestones, flowers and ribbon...all things girly.  :)

 

These are the inserts that come with the announcements, a place for you to give all the important details. :)

They are made to slip in the file folder along with a 3.5x5 picture. (sorry the colors are off a little in these pictures.  the paint looks red orange-ish here but is actually a rosy pink color more like in the first picture).

 

Each invitation incudes the file folder, insert and 5x7 envelope.   There are 20 available.  They are $2.50 a piece.  Shipping is $4.95 for USPS priority and includes delivery confirmation and tracking.
