World Card Making Day

I don't know where I've been, but I just found out about world card making day.  Am I the only one???  It's coming up soon so I thought I better let you all in on the fun. :)  Next Saturday, October 6th (it's always the first Sat of Oct.) get some friends together and celebrate this fun event.  Here are a few fun ideas of ways to celebrate:

Kick off the Holiday Card Making Season: Play some holiday music, break out the cookies and hot chocolate and make cards! How awesome would that be to know that your cards are done before the real rush of the holidays even starts. 

Have and "un-birthday" party card swap: Invite your guests to create a birthday card for everyone at the party.  Swap them with all the other guests and go home with an arsenal of cards to get you through the next year of birthdays.  It doesn't have to be a birthday theme.. you can come up wih anything you want!

Pamper pajama party: Treat your girlfriends to a relaxing evening of card making mixed with comfy PJs and spa treatments. In between creating, offer stations for guests to have homemade facials, manicures and pedicures, and foot massages.

Just a few fun ideas and an excuse to get your friends together for a night of fun! :)

Thursday Scrapping

I finally got a chance to scrap for a few minutes!  It felt like it had been forever! :)  During a shoot the other day Andy started pulling funny poses and it gave me the perfect opportunity to use the paper I had been saving for a moment like this! :)

Project Playhouse

I got to go see the coolest thing this weekend.  A local mall has an AWESOME event every year to benefit Project Playhouse, a local non profit that builds and renovates shelters for the homeless.  Well, they get all these local builders to construct these AMAZING playhouses and then the put them on display at the mall and let everyone tour them for a month before they auction them off.  Now these aren't your ordinary playhouses.  We're talking 10 feet tall, by 10 feet wide and 8 feet deep.  They have everything from running water to flat screen TVs inside and they go on average for $22,000 a piece.  Yep you read that right! :)  lol!  Here's a few pics of some from last year to give you an idea:

Pretty cool huh?  Those thinga are nicer than my real life house! lol!!  :)  Anyways it was fun to go and get some inspiration for some pages.  The colors and ideas inside were SO fun!

Look what's coming to my house to play

These AWESOME stamps are from a great little place called CATS LIFE PRESS and as of yesterday they are on their way to my house. :)  I am SO excited!!  Aren't they just the cutest???

I've decided that I need some more stamps in my life.  I am having WAY too much fun with them lately.  It's so great becuase they are kind of like rub-ons only you can use them over and over again!  I don't know why I didn't figure this out sooner. :)
