Oh faithful blog followers....

If you are still checking this blog I applaud you!! :)  I am sorry for being such a slacker with this!!!  If you didn't already know, I have a photography blog which is where I also post a lot of my regular everyday stuff.  I forgot to mention on this blog back in February that my husband had been transferred and we had the house up for sale.  All of my scrap stuff got packed up and I have been without it for the last 8 months!!!!  About 8 weeks ago, with a housetht still hadn't sold and school starting we decided to stay.  I have finally dug myself out from under the boes hat I had already packed and life is somewhat backto normal...which means I will hopefully be able to scrap soon!!!  YAY!!! 

I've started posting home decor/party ideas and other fun finds over on my photography blog if you're interested in checking that out in the mean time. :)

Wholy Cow!

I actually scrapped!!!  I know, don't fall off of your chairs!!!  Seriously, this whole moving thing has REALLY cramped my style and my stuff!! :)  A while back I was able to get my hands on some of the new Teresa Collins stuff from CHA.  Some of it I had on hand and the rest...including the super fun american crafts letter thickers were from an awesome Coordinates Collections kit.  So I broke down today and had to do something.  Once again, simple, but at least i did something! :)  Hopefully this house will sell soon so I can get back to my normal life! :)

CK Japan

A few months ago I taught a photo segment of a scrapping class at a great store in San Diego with a dear friend Teresa Collins.  She is an amazing scrapbook product desinger and one of the kindest people you will ever meet!  I spent part of the day taking head shots of the 50 girls that took the class.  I was terrified!!!  Here I was with 50 scrapbookers who know a thing or two about photos taking their pics!!!  Not to mention that the set up was TERRIBLE!!!  I was in a warehouse with flourescent lighting crammed back in the corner next to the bathroom against a mustard yellow cinderblock wall.  It was the only free wall space in the whole building. (that's becuase the store is SO awesome it was jam packed with stuff) so needless to say I was FREAKED out that the pics wouldn't turn out very well. :)  There was a sweet girl there, MIki, who was writing an article for Creating Keepsakes Japan.  She asked for some of my pictures and now they are in the latest edition of CK and on the CK Japan blog!! :)  WooHoo!!

a crafty lady

well, i've decided that trying to sell your house makes scrapping REALLy difficult!!!  Maybe becuase I am such a messy scrapper. :)  But...the good news is it's inspired me to find something else to make.  I decided to try and use the sewing machine I bought strictly for scrapbooking the way it was actually meant to be used!! :) lol!!

My baby is turning 2 soon and I have been looking everywhere for a cute birthday shirt.  Apparently they only make really expensive ones or really ugly ones. :)  So I put my paper piecing skills to use and created this one on a $2 shirt from walmart...let me know what you think. :)  I'm pretty proud of my first sewing adventure!! :)

Two Weeks!!!

Oh!!  I am so sorry to any of you faithful blog readers out there!!!  I can't believe it has been two weeks since my last post!!  Things have been crazy in our house.  We are MOVING!!!  UGH!!  Right after I came back from CHA it was time to clean the house out and get it sparkly and ready to list.  I am a little over the top when it comes to that kind of stuff so I cleaned out all of the closets, cupboards, garage, etc.  Took me a while but now it looks fantastic!!!  Idon't want to move!! lol!!

So, most of my scrap stuff is packed up which means I am now going for "simplicity" in my layouts ;)  Here's a little one that I threw together..........

I LOVE this ribbon from May Arts.  It is a pink sheer with black polka dots.  I just ruffled it up under the picture so that it would mimick the tutu Ash is wearing.  The buttons and little paper are from Making Memories.  It seriously doesn't get any easier than this folks!! :)

Some Eye Candy

Oh Boy!!!
Have I got some fun stuff to share with you guys!! :)  I've had the pleasure of attending CHA these last few days and let me tell you YUMMY!!!!  There is so much eye candy at these shows I wish everyone could go just for the inspiration.  I snapped some shots of some of my favorite layouts and a few products here and there so here goes:

**WARNING!!!  These pictures are so not my best!!! The lighting in these places is HORRIBLE , there are a ton of people making it hard to get a shot, and I'm way too caught up in product to take my photography seriously!! lol!! **

OK, this is doodlebug.  Coolest new product ( al lot of people had something similar I just thought theirs was the coolest) FLOCKING!!!  You can use a glue pen, write somethignon your pages, draw something whatever...then flock it.  They also have stickers and shapes pre-made ready to flock.  Too Cool!
